The School is roving and moves around the beaches on Tiree but is primarily based at Gott Bay on the east coast of the island. Here the waters are for the most part shallow and flat and the beach rarely gets many waves. The bay itself is around three miles in length and has few obstacles either in the water or on the clean white sandy beach. It can provide safe learning conditions in almost all wind directions and strengths and is a beautiful place to get in the water for a few hours with clear green and blue water and seals and dolphins playing beside you during the summer time.

The format is relaxed for the most part with learning being achieved through repetitive practice of routines that Wild Diamond has generated for their ideal teaching environment. Teaching is done on a half daily basis as opposed to hourly and breaks are taken on request for a breather or for refreshments or food at the Tiree lodge Hotel which overlooks the center.
