Suds Surf School is based on the Moray Firth coast in the North-East neuk of Scotland. With stunning venues such as Sandend, Cullen, Portsoy, Portknockie, you can see the best of Whisky Country around Moray & Aberdeenshire. We run surf lessons & hire and stand up paddle board (SUP) lessons, hire & tours where you'll maybe even spot a dolphin - the highlight of any holiday.

The Moray Firth enjoys an excellent micro-climate that is warmer, drier and sunnier than the Scottish average.

There are many beautiful sandy beaches such as Sandend, which is perfect for surfing at all levels. For stand up paddleboarding (SUP) there are sheltered flat water spots and interesting inlets, old harbours and even ruined castles to explore with plenty of opportunities to spot a variety of wildlife, including the Bottlenose dolphins that the Moray Firth is famous for.

Sandend in Banffshire is the location of the surf school as it is an excellent surf beach with clean water and consistent and safe surfing conditions. It is also located near several malt whisky distilleries if you need an excuse...

Where to meet and parking

Meet at my trailer beside Sandend beach at the designated start time.

Please use the public carpark, located next to the public toilets, where possible. Otherwise please park respectfully to allow residents, deliveries and emergency vehicles through. For example, if a fire engine can't get past then please don't park there.

Please remember to remove all your rubbish at the end of the day to leave the beach just as beautiful for the next people.
